LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Thirty-two students at a Catholic elementary school were taken to the hospital after being becoming ill in church.
A parent said that students were attending Mass at a church adjacent to the school when a student fainted and several others became sick.
Louisville Fire Department Capt. David Thomas said several children became nauseated and started vomiting in the church sanctuary.
Thirty-two children were taken to the hospital for observation.
Fire officials and LG&E representatives have investigated and neither could find a likely cause, such as natural gas or carbon monoxide.
However, the students said that the church was very hot, so the sickness may be attributed to heat
