SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- A federal judge declared Wednesday that the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools is unconstitutional, a decision that could potentially put the divisive issue back before the U.S. Supreme Court.
I cringe when I see this type of story in the news.
I have torn feelings about this issue.
It gives people like Jerry Falwell a chance to rail against us so called "evil" secularists.
he said, or was it Pat Robertson? ...."they are solely responsible for everything that is wrong with this nation". RIGHT, NOT!
Wow, I was so surprised to hear our small, tiny demographic has so much power. I wish!
I support those trying to reinstate the original pledge. But I don't have the stomach for the fight.
